yes always max def first! or you could die a lot easier and waste the other pots you have used.

yea thats exactly how i feel with my rogue, but dno if a warrior would be better. and getting a 2nd char as a range class.

Farm with one slot, feed your warrior in the other. I`m doing a ppe but for normal stuff I have an archer as my farmer and I feed my other character until he`s at least 1/8 (def)
