I would like to get better at BF


Is there a good video or guide out there that you guys know of that explains BF well?

Ive been watching some Frankiein1080p or whatever but I havent quite found what I am looking for.

I am looking for:
What all of these icons mean
How picking your spawn point works
how you know what environment is in play and what isnt (crumbling buildings) (when to use it)
All those secondary aspects like when people drive by and honk the horn for me to get on their ride lol
The different types of vehicles and what each brings to the table

I am new to BF but really intrigued.
I just want to know things like how aircraft becomes available to each team, what an AC130 can do (for example) and stuff like that so I know how to read the map and strategize the right way.

I just dont want to be that dummy running around not doing his job and not helping the team.

Would someone be so kind as to not troll me here

^Stuff like that. I hear a lot about BF people hating people not knowing what theyre doing. So I am trying to learn how to not be that guy lol

Try to spot as much as possible for if you don't kill them, your teammates have a chance to kill them as well.

Beware of someone shooting at you.

Shoot back when that happens...

Its a shooter not much of a guide should be needed....

Can you be more specific when you ask about the icons? Do you mean the icons over enemies heads? Or do you mean the icons over your own teammates?

Picking your spawn kinda varies on game mode you are playing ( I think) for Conquest you can spawn on either people in your squad or one of the captured bases. For Rush you spawn on either your squad mates or your home base. Those are the only 2 game modes I frequent. I believe for TDM ( Team Death Match) it's random spawn.

Don't worry about being that dummy not helping out the team you're going to get that in every multiplayer game on Battlefield it's inevitable. My best advice for you would to actually try to meet some players, get in a squad together and try to play strategically as you can to help each other out while going for the game objectives. This would be more ideal if you get to know them and play on a regular basis. Each class has it's own perks and gadgets that you can find in the customization menu. If you have a few friends playing different classes you can combine your perks to achieve greater effectiveness within your squad.

An example would be one person supplying health (assault class), another supplying ammo (support class), another being able to repair vehicles (engineer class), and another being able to set up motion sensors and spawn beacons (recon class)

I could go on and on but I want to try to limit information given so it is not overwhelming. I'll try to keep an eye on this thread for any other qualms you may have.
