From what I remember when I played a year ago the beginning guns kinda suck (shouldn't be a surprise for most games)

Depending on the game mode you're playing the maps are going to be 10x bigger then any in COD.

You'll also have to play a bit more strategic, it's not really a run-n-gun how COD is. It's quite a bit more "realistic", you die quicker, guns have a bit more recoil, when sniping you have to account for bullet drop the list goes on. You'll soon to find it's completely different then COD and you may not like it at first but just hang in there. That's really all I have for strategy since it's been a while.

You can also refer to the sticky at the top of page which consists of a list of jsp users who frequent the game categorized by game system. If you get some friends together you'll be in what's called a squad, which means you work together and also spawn on each other if you die. Different classes allow you different perks to help each other out such as repairing vehicles & dropping ammo. I've found that if you and some buds play together the outcome is better and overall a better gaming experience.

Have fun :)

What system do you use?

It really depends on you I suppose. Do you like to pick people off from a distance? Do you like to support your team? Do you like to be on the front line? Vehicles: Tanks, Jets, Helicopters, APC, AA, etc..?

I would personally try everything out a little bit. Thankfully this game provides a lot of opportunities to explore different classes and such.

Personally I like the AH-1w cobra(Attack Helicopter), I prefer to use sniper riffles such as the L96, and when I do decide to support my team I play OP Metro as a medic.

Pick the assault class since they are OP in this game. M16A3 is the best assault rifle there is for all around gunplay. M416 is good too. Just go around throwing med kits and reviving people while using the class that out shoots everything else.

Learn to throw down kits everywhere especially when you will be peaking a corner.

The game is heavily based around vehicles so if there is a vehicle in your base you should grab it. Just having a heavy presence at a flag or when you're pushing up in rush is enough to push back the opposition.

If you see something that even might be a player hit the back button to spot it. Abuse the shit out of it like a sex slave you keep in the dungeon. Just keep mashing the back button at 90% of things.

Sometimes where the action is isn't where you need to be. If a lot of your team is dying at one flag then go to another flag out in BFE and cap it. Chances are you wont run into an resistance and you can easily net a flag.

On rush just the simple idea of putting mass amounts of infantry going in one direction is enough to win most matches; so long as you're medic training. Just keep reviving and reviving.

On rush don't be afraid to find a creep spot and lurk there most of the match. It's not camping when you're defending.

LMGs are hardly worth it in the long run of things. The on the move accuracy (and overall accuracy) is just plain horrid. Unless you mount up in a choke point on rush you should think of using something else.

Always try to join a full squad and check periodically to see if there is a bigger one you can join.
