people are saying that playing pistol only and sniper only servers are "stat padding"
but i dont understand how they are

i got a 12 hour ban form forums for asking about this on the BF3 forums and the mod said i would "regret" asking about it in the forums
wtf kinda mod says that?

Even though the mods over there are pretty damn retarded servers that only allow certain types of weapons is a type of stat padding.

Having a Pistol or Sniper only server would be no different than having a C4 only server. It enables user to pad those stats without the risk of running into other elements in the game that would hinder them.

i guess.... i really could care less about my stats. i reset them myself from time to time
i just enjoy the change of pace

i dont see why people are such assholes about it i wasnt trying to do anything wrong i was only ASKING cus i didnt understand why people got into an uproar about it

edit all this started cus i was playing on a german server and got insta banned and got a message saying " play a server in your own country" which ive NEVER seen in ANY game before

Because in BF3 stats mean everything to the Tryhards and any type of confrontation or conversation about it needs to be in their favor so they can justify their worth[lessness].

There are some serous Tryhards when it comes to stats and Battlefield mainly because it keeps track of basically everything to measuring "your worth".

My opinion:

Score / Min = 2x EXP / 24/7 Metro
W/L Ratio = Custom Servers / Your Team
K/D ratio = Medic Trains / Metro Farming
Accuracy = Suppression

Please let me know how stats reflect the individual. Better yet let me know how they matter at all.

i guess if you REALLY care that much but i think is absolutely retarded that EA supports them and i get a forum ban and a threat from a mod for ASKING about it merely trying to understand

I used to play Sniper only servers in BF2 and I have played a couple Handgun servers only in BF3. Enjoyed it quite a bit. Honestly though I do not consider it stat-padding. Stat/padding to me is someone(s) being dummy/medic/shooter, and having a constant rotation, or repairing something continuously for repair points, heal points, ammo points, etc etc..

Their is more than one type of handgun and their is more than one type of sniper riffle and people play to kill, not give each other points on purpose necessarily just as in a legit game.


@wolf I agree though, metro/medic farming is amazing points.. Occasionally I will play a large metro game, be #2 on my team with a few kills(4-6 or so) but points from revive are insane

There is a difference between boosting and stat padding.

Stat Padding is putting yourself in a situation that enhances your chance of increasing stats; technically if you want to be a douche you could say playing metro max ticket 24/7 is stat padding.

Boosting is just mutual arrangements to boost your stats.
