Not that it really matters, but the ps3 is going to have the same texture pack installed. With the ps3 though, it is not uncommon for games to be installed or partially installed on the hdd in order to play. The bf3 ps3 version requires like a 4gig install. The reason they make such a big deal over the xbox is because it is microsofts policy to not have a required install. Thats why the texture pack is not required. Anyone making a big fuss about the pack is retarded, unless you have no hdd space, then you're just fucked x3
