DICE posted some new information on the official Battlefield blog, where they discussed the upcoming Battlefield 3 patch. The new patch will be released first on PCs, then on consoles (due to certification requirements). DICE gave a few general ideas what the patch will fix:
Bring more polish to the game
Stability improvements
Weapon balancing
Squad control functionality
User interface enhancements
Several feature enhancement based on user feedback
They didn’t go into specifics as what will be fixed — that’s is expected when the detailed patch fix-list is released next week.
DICE also had a few words on cheaters and boosters, saying they continue to analyze data to identify cheaters and boosters, and ban and/or reset their stats. Last week, hundreds of Battlefield 3 players were banned over cheating and boosting.
