in bfbc2 you would clear out people in capture points, bomb out the rest / half life tanks then tell your teammates to go in to capture.
now its run and gun rambo
sole purpose for recon is using the UAV to mark people for the mortar, its useless every other way now
Nah. Just takes time learning to use the sniper effectively. I play with a few guys who play recon pretty much exclusively but totally rape games sniping with em.
