GTX 580 is a waste of money. I bought a GTX 560 for half the price and it does just as much as the GTX 580.

I paid $250 for my GTX 560, The GTX 580 was $500 at that time. If your paying half the price for nearly the same clock speeds and on board RAM, its no where near worth $250 more.

Might smack it but Micro Center also threw in a 800 WATT Power Supply and $70 Case for free. Both are a total value of around $180. Also, I prefer staying away from ATI cards due to previous issues with them.

Its not fanboy, its my counter-statement and it was a 800W Corsair which is a great brand.

clock speed and ram.. dude stfu. not saying the 580 is worth 500 bucks but it will perform as well as 2 560s in sli, wich would have been 500 bucks. less power draw quieter cooler less issues with game support ect.
560 = low-mid card, 580 best single gpu card out.. and you are telling me they are the same...

I said they were "nearly" the same. Its the newest greatest thing of course and it will be faster but at that time I bought my GTX 560, it wasn't worth $500 for the GTX 580.
