holy shit... i never checked reddit before now, it looks like a COD forum lol. half the posts "fix this bug" lol

i was looking for something casual to screw around on. but if the hit reg sucks i would gouge my eyes out playing it. been playing alot of CSGO lately, and going to BF3 even feels odd, you can spray a whole clip on target and it seems like only 1:4 bullets hit, you always use 20 bullets to kill anyone.. is there some sort of trick to this? am i always supposed to tap fire?

with that said i still enjoy BF3, BFBC2 was also a ton of fun.  but if BF4 is bad maybe i wont buy it, ive seen alot of posts lately from people saying they went back to bf3, gotta be a reason for that i guess.

In BF3 its all about recoil compensation. You can actually fire full auto in that game if you have excellent recoil control. Once you get the recoil down you will drop people faster. Here is an example of highly skilled gunplay.

yea, but it still feels like every 1 in 4 bullets hit. i been shooting full auto dragging the recoil down like you would an m4 in csgo(first 8 shots anyway) and keeping red dot on chest. but it just dosnt feel like i kill that fast at range like this guy does. maybe i just need to get a headshot or 2 in there and i should always aim for head instead of chest

also didnt know bf3 had a comp scene ^^

Your cone of fire will be a lot larger when you are moving and when you are suppressed so avoid both when firing. Also, just work on your recoil control and check your accuracy after every round. Try to shoot 20+% every round (you can check this by looking at the battle report in battlelog) as soon as the round is over while the next map is loading. Play lots of TDM and metro to work on gun skills. BF3 only has occasional hit reg issues, if you are accurate your bullets will hit their target.

I am assuming you are not a newb and you are using m16a3 with heavy barrel and foregrip and red dot/kobra sight. The m16a3 is basically the ak-47/m4a1 of BF3. In this first video he does not use a foregrip because the video is outdated.

If you record yourself, your recoil control will probably not look very smooth. It all comes with practice. BF3 has minor issues with hit reg and of course the random bullet deviation doesn't help, but with excellent control of your spraying and perfect recoil compensation you will start to see enemies drop like flies.

Most of your guns are around 18% which is really good considering the short amount of time you have spent with each of them. If you want improve, just stick with m16a3 and start grinding metro/tdm. You have barely played this game enough to even begin to develop the muscle memory that you need to control recoil easily every time without thinking about it.

i'd say wait on it. I wish i either had got premium, or waited. Its just now I'm realizing that some (all?) servers load premium players in first. thats why my load times suck dick I suppose.

also, since china rising it seems like every game is completely onesided. i dont know how autobalance works, but I always have it on the filter, and about 3/4 games or more will be 1.1k tickets left vs 237 tickets or something crazy.

im ~71 rank and I haven't played in the last week for the first time

i just started playing again, ive played maybe 15 hours over the past few days, for a long time i didnt play much. it doesnt take long to adjust to sensitivities again when you play med-low sens. my only real issue w/ this game when i first started was the weird ads/non ads sens ratios. for a low sens player it kinda sucks. BFBC2 had a nice ratio when i ADS'd it wasnt that much slower.

but in bf3 its a huge difference when i ads its like 8x slower which is somewhat annoying. im getting used to it again but it just feels off, i think at this point i could probably go 20%+ w/ the m16 if i just used it constantly but ive just been messing around leveling up other classes. also high pop TDM servers are all i play so its easy for me to adjust quick.

That's good that you play at low sensitivity because that makes you more accurate and it is easier to control recoil. My 180 degree turn is 9.5 inches when holding the gun at the hip (not ADS'ing). Of course, there are people in competitive who play at lower than me and there are people who play at higher. Your stats are excellent for someone who has hardly spent any time with this game. I imagine you have a competitive background in CS which has helped a lot (also CS has a much higher skill ceiling than BF3). I'll add you on battlelog and we will play some pubs sometime when I am not playing DayZ.
