Many Battlefield 3 fans are asking for a more specific release date for the upcoming “Spring” patch, said to include some brand new game features. Matros was unable to give an exact date, but he did state the “game update will drop before DLC.” He assures that “when there is an ETA I will post it.” Luckily, it seems that we can expect it sooner than later as he admits, “dropping an update in June [same month as DLC] is crazy.” He mentioned the update should be released “very much closer to now.” He added that “with a bit of luck, there is a tentative date coming end of next week. *crossing fingers*”

Imo they are trying to keep this game alive for too long
I mean 6 months without any patches/dlcs then 3 dlcs in 6 months(2 around new cod and other games)

Hard to belive that half this games lifespan is over already and all they had to do to keep it alive was remove the cancer...

uhg this is why i hate EA, instead of supporting their fanbase and releasing a patch with some maps/updates they make you pay an extra 15$ for it... I still completely blame activsion though.



If 6 months is too long for a game to be alive for you you have been playing too much COD m8, I know plenty of FPS games that have stayed alive for waaaay longer. mostly 'cause they don't make the players pay for updates.
