It’s actually in a great spot right now for a casual blast, especially since you don't need to treat it like a second job compared to PoE. For classes, if you have the expansion, definitely go spiritborn - the mobility and speed are insane. Otherwise, sorcerer is super fun if you just want to freeze and blow up the entire screen with zero effort, or rogue if you prefer fast melee. If you want to skip the slow early grind, maybe check out some starter builds on skycoach to get a decent setup. Overall, just pick whatever looks cool and you'll have a good time.
