Hello,

I really enjoyed this game back in the first 2 seasons but the charm soon dropped off in season 3/4 when there were constantly broken builds everywhere doing literal billions of dps, poor trade system, and insanely quick and easy leveling where you just did hell tides hit max level and move on to pits instantly and do nothing else.

I havent played since spiritborn as context and have been enjoying POE2 but was wondering if they smoothed the game out and really balanced builds and added incentives to do more content? What I liked more about POE2 is the trade, and mild struggle to level every season (due to content not scaling with you).

Welcome back to the game if you’re planning to come back playing d4, everyone now does trillions of damage, so this might be better for you since you didn’t like billions.
Trading is still the same old 3rd website trading system
Levelling is still the same. Spam helltide to max level in couples of hours

Oh good, heck i prefered it when it was just nightmare dungeons till you hit 100 over helltides... Atleast it got people together and gave jsp purpose too.

I hadnt put much hope into the trading since they really focused on making crafting bis gear fairly easy and it makes it nontradeable.

I just came back solely to play the paladin. I don't even remember the last season I played but I know the hammerdin was my go-to from my D2 days. Kind of regret letting my god geared accounts fade into the void to be honest. It kind of sucks seeing how updates absolutely destroy builds though. My leap/quake barb that was perfect last time I played was useless when I logged back in. The only complaint I have is I still have the worst drop rate for mythics. I've only had 1 in like almost 100 boss kills. <_<

Think s13 was best season to date, but trying to get that gem strength roll on weapon is really frustrating done over 1400 attempts as of today , ran out of materials to transfigure and really don't feel like trying anymore. I have almost bis items minus the gem strength and highest ive hit for is 35 ish trillion . If I had a gem strength 2hmace on my barb be hitting for at least 80+ trillion. So stupid its that big of a deal.

See they could fix the game easily by making builds not get broken off one interaction (smooth the scaling - 1 roll shouldn't 3x damage) and constant bugs they leave unpatched that lets 1 class do 150pits no effort. They are afraid to displease the 1% that have to have 1000000Trillion damage and game breaking mechanics.

Diablo 4 if you prefer playing with people. Poe 2 is more isolated and unable to handle “True” end game or group content without a very very nice pc.

D4 is for the casual gamer. Poe 2 is for people with multiple monitors and pcs running.

All in all. They’re both pretty much betas with a lot of bugs and fixes. Economy on Poe 2 is just, I don’t have words. Not good. (Currency isn’t adding up the way it should because of exploits, last season there was a bug and you could just print divs) D4 atleast recently removed the duped items. Or atleast they’re not being traded here anymore.

I want to love them both but they both need a lot of love from their creators. I’m happy playing d4 as many people I play with are on console and “true” end game on console for Poe 2 is solo and unplayable on console for level 99 players, atleast not without heaps of latency. Many aren’t aware, but if you push the game as it is intended to be pushed, you’ll reset your PlayStation back to factory settings as soon as you pop a red map with 10x breaches and tons of mods. Don’t even think of adding a necro into the game.

hmm Ive have the opposite on console for POE2, runs fantastic, controller works. I also love the trade market - I can spend all day crafting items with my small brain and make monies or good gear for myself.

on POE2? Depends on the season, I have 4 characters above 90 (92 and 82 this current reset). For d4 - I had like 6 max characters back in the first few seasons I played.
