I recently started playing diablo 4 and I noticed the game feels extremely "sluggish"... I can't tell if its lagging or thats just the game style.

Evading, or moving around on my mount feels terrible, it either gets stuck on walls, or has slight rubber banding

My ping is showing 30-40ms but can spike to 240 randomly in town and just hold there

I use to play diablo 3 quite a lot, and D3 felt incredibly smooth compared to D4

Can't tell if its a ping issue, PC performance issue, or it's just the games design :huh:

Any other OCE players experiencing the same issues?

No. Mine’s running fine. Could be your provider issues

All other battlenet games run smoothly on the same connection :(

But even when the ping reads 20-30ms, it feels very laggy. Could be a hardware problem I guess

There's basically no Oceania players so they don't have much capacity. Oceania servers get full, you get routed to SEA.

OnlineService.Matchmaking.ServerPool=AU1

You can use this command line argument to try to force it to send you to OCE server.

And D4 will always lag on loading screens, especially if you have a non-NVME (SATA) or worse SSD

Thank you for that, I'll give it a try!
