What you unlock now if you pre-order: You unlock the Paladin + additional stash tab + cosmetics (like pets, pally skin, etc.)

What you unlock on the release of LOH: LOH Campaign + New Region + Talisman system (Sets) + End game systems (War plans, fishing, etc.) + Horadric cube

I hope that helps. If you are going to be playing during season 12, I would pre order for the stash tab and paladin.
