My diablo 4 latest season character gear is posted in the screenshot.

I'm using blessed hammer hammerkuna guide: https://mobalytics.gg/diablo-4/builds/paladin-blessed-hammer-mekuna?ws-ngf5-1=activeVariantId%2C3

I can clear t105 pit fairly easily but I die quickly as I have to rely on health potions to heal, as consecration isn't nearly enough, there's very little barrier generation, no life on hit, etc. I need to identify what is wrong with my character that the build expects something different.

Stats:
Weapon damage 715
Toughness 161,022
Strength 3,754
Intel 699
Willpower 722
Dex 599
level 60
paragon 218
Armor 79,236 (85.2% DR)
physical resistance 1,669 (only 58.5%)
fire resistance 4,714 (75.6%)
lightning resistance 4,714 (75.6%)
cold resistance 1,669 (only 58.5%)
poison resistance 4,714 (75.6%)
shadow resistance 1,669 (only 58.5%)
weapon damage 650
Weapon speed 1.10
Attack speed bonus 22.7%
crit strike chance 73.8%
crit strike damage 887.7%
overpower chance 3.0%
overpower damage 320.9%
vulnerable damage 535.2%
all damage 428.0%
Damage with physical 140%
damage with core 73.7%
damage vs elites 110%
damage vs crowd controlled 147.5%
damage vs healthy 32%
thorns 0
Retribution chance 47%
Max life 7,349
potion capacity 6
Healing received 35.3%
block chance 100%
block reduction 65%
dodge chance 3.6%
Max faith 130
Faith cost reduction 14.1%
Faith regeneration 17.36
Faith generation 21.8%
Movement speed 140%
cooldown reduction 10.6%
lucky hit chance bonus 60%
Experience bonus 600%
PvP damage reduction 92%

I have all the right skills and paragon tree, but paragon is a little lower than the guide, at paragon 218. Resists are low in gaps based on the guide and the paladin does not self-heal in any way.

I can easily maintain arbiter of justice with no gaps and I can clear pit T105 fairly easily - damage output is in the billions and is fine. It's just survival that totally sucks and I don't have any barrier/heal generation methods that are making it better, and consecration isn't cutting it.

Sorry to be the one to break it to ya, but Hammerdin is more of a speed build not a pit pusher so far.
We can all do about >2mins pit105s with decked out gear. I mean DECKED OUT 3-4ga's everywhere+sancs.

The dps/survivability even with all the proper sanctifications it's just not there compared to Justice and Wingstrike for high pit pushing.

If someone has a hammerdin that's pushing past 130(and not like with 1min to spare) I'll retract my statement.

The limitations mentioned in the build you linked line up with your mentioned issues.

At some point you need to deviate from the mold on all of these to push beyond what the build is for. Adapt it for your play style.

For instance, my auradin, while waiting to get the sanc rolls I want, is pretty stagnant at 110.

Doesn’t mean it’s a bad build, just means the perfect rolls become more and more important.

It’s similar for this, you need to line up all your sanc rolls etc beyond 105 and push your own style.
