Prepatch D2 items were highly sought after because many affix ranges were higher (ie single resistance up to 49% vs 30% after patch), or incredibly useful Affixes existed that were later removed entirely (ie strength on boots).

I haven't played d4 from the beginning, but from what I've seen item power level has only gone up. If you have anything that can beat current day gear maybe it's worth something, but I can't imagine any less powerful gear being worth anything outside of a neat trophy to keep in the stash.

It would have to be exceptionally good in its time because all the legacy items cannot be reworked or modified and the item power was nerfed down to 540. I had a few niche things but I doubt they would be useful now. Still, I'm leaving everything in eternal realm stashes alone.
