Hi. Obviously, prices in FG will be high in the first one or two weeks of the season for D4, as people make their way into T4, and try to gear their character up.

But do prices continue to get cheaper into the season? About one month has passed since the start of the season. Will prices be even cheaper in FG by the second month, so around June 28th or so? I ask this because it did get much cheaper in D2, especially near the end of the season in D2, but I haven't played D4 much, so I don't know the trend of prices in FG for D4.

If the prices in FG get cheaper 2 months into the season, I think I'll just wait and buy some stuff for my character then.

Yes things will get cheaper as it gets closer to season ending. But honestly idk what people can play in eternal. D4 provides nothing but pushing pit as its endgame content. This isn’t d2 where you can keep farming gears to collect. The item diversity isn’t big enough for that.
If pit pushing is endgame content for eternal then i don’t see how any builds can push without seasonal power. All builds are trash this season if you take away that boss power.

Thanks for the information! I may wait another month before I get some final pieces of gear. There will still be a month left to play if I wait a month for the prices to drop. I already slowed down my playing of Diablo 4 a lot, because it's a grind to get from Pit 85 to Pit 90 (but I finally made it to Pit 90). To go further than Pit 90, I need a better equipment so I can wait for the prices to go down after a month. After the season is over, I probably won't play my character on Eternal anyways so it's not a big deal for me if the Boss Powers don't carry over to Eternal.

in 1 month there will be already s9, early july most probably - and all the current buillds are nerfed - dont wait too long if you want to pit push in s8
