How do I know if an aspect is perfect?

So I guess I’m confused. If you have to salvage in order to see if an aspect is perfect how are people selling perfect aspects? Are they basically offering to imbue someone’s item with a perfect aspect?

Oh ok! So the aspect numbers have to be perfect AND ancestral item. Then the item has value for anyone seeking that aspect once they salvage it.

There is a setting inside options that you can toggle on/off the ranges for stats. By default I think it is off
