Is it risky to buy perfect items in game due to there being a lot of duplicate? Is there any way to tell if an item is unperm?

Absolutely no. Can only pray whether the item will go poofed or not

just avoid diablo trade and purchase items from jsp. That's just my personal opinion. The mods here seem to rectify issues with poof'd items etc. I wouldn't trust any other platform. god speed. I don't buy items personally. I just use wha tI find.

Chinese guy here trying to sell me some perfect items. Most probably duped right? Might just poof? Are there any recorded instances yet of poofing?

I like to screenshot my perfs in different tabs/inventory multiple days apart before I sell any. Because you also got dudes paying for them claiming they poof now. That way if an SA pops up you can show proof of “hey I’ve had this item a long time. It’s moved around. No issues.”

I was reading about this. Apparently something to do with duping is green villager remains and they are locked to instances in town that show up even if you have nothing to do with it. Clicking those apparently cause even non duped items to disappear.

Probably best to avoid selling items you purchase from others imo. Screen record any gg drops for validity to show the source of how you obtained an item. This is the safest way to trade imo.

Does anyone understand the mechanics of items poofing in diablo 4? I know in diablo 2 it would poof if the same item was the server and you could "clash test". But for d4 I hear it's in the trade window, you accept the trade and you are left with nothing
