Have a set for both.

Evade is FAR better for general farming in 99% of the game content. Way faster, way more efficient. Use mousewheel bind for evade. Very cozy to play that way.

Volley is more damage but only "relevant" for pushing pits, which is arguably irrelevant unless ur some streamer looking for popularity since there are no Pit ranking board in the game sadly. (you can still play volley for everything, just speaking about what one is best/worst for)

I play mostly volley personally, but when i was speed farming I played evade for like a full day. Evade can do 100+ pits too so maybe its a gear issue or lacking paragon etc. But for standing still ofc volley does more damage, its just that basic t4, damage is generally irrelevant outside of pushing high pit really. (unless ur under geared or build wrong and in that case you should just be speed farming)
