There was a big dupe bug a few weeks ago that they shut down trading for, but mats aren't super terrible to get.
Probably all stuff you already know:
T8 Hordes drops more stygian stones than you will ever need if you are clearing it between 500-1000 points and just opening gem boxes. T7 also has a fairly high drop rate and is much easier to clear.
The rest of the mats are a grind. The only real boost is the season rep caches and the seasonal journey drop stacks of stuff, but I'm guessing you have already done that. The season journey isn't repeatable, but each new alt can get the season rep caches. I've done that on 3-4 toons.
One thing I did for fear is add an extra toon or two on my xbox account while I was farming my glyphs so I get 9 fear per NM dungeon which adds up fast. If you have an xbox or ps4 it's pretty easy to make a child account and share the game with that account.
