Let me hear yall thoughts.

solo isn't optimal to 0-100. it's always good if you can get someone to boost you to wt4 to be able to start low level hordes solo. but if you still want to play it solo 0-100 then 0-50 live in helltide wt2, 50-70 helltide wt3, get to wt4 as soon as you can and open maiden in helltide, they will be a lot of people coming for free loots, party them up and leech the xp. once you're comfortable running hordes tier 1 yourself, that's the way to 100.

always have incense and potion up for xp boost

Infernal Hordes is the best xp by far. To start probably helltides and NMD-s until you can clear first tier of hordes.

S5 experience was simple 1-100 solo in 2-3 days doing Helltides a lot and legion events. Once you get some better gear 70 + I started doing Blood Maiden kills in Helltides only and open 1-2 chests so you can turn in Tree of Whispers for big exp and then moved to nightmare dungeons to level my glyphs. Chill fun experience for leveling s5.
