Hi I am seeing very low d2jsp trade activities in D4, makes the experience less enjoyable.

Does anyone know how much d2jsp posts per day each game is getting?
I see the total post all time shown, but don't see posts per day.

D4 is formatted significantly differently than d2/d2r. Trading isn’t viewed as necessity since everyone can target farm their own gear. Hell I’ve played significantly each season except season 3 and I’ve only ever completed a total of 3-trades in d4. D2 you almost have to trade due to item rarity and lack of smartloot drops.

You debate whether that’s a good bad thing. But that’s why activity is lower.

This. In D4 it is much easier to gear up compared to D2R. Finding a "legal" Jah+Ber can take ages while finding the best in slot uniques + Mythicals can be achieved in 12-24 hours played. Now we are at the state, where everyone is geared and just the best items sell (2-3GA) - similar to D2R, but in D4 it happens quicker. Another important factor is, that in D4 the loot is kind of more specific and class based - in D2R almost every class needs Enigma - in D4 the items are class based = less demand.

Nah. 3 trades per season is ridiculously a low number. He spoke for himself not for the rest of d4 players. Trades still happened everyday. Was going pretty well at start of season. Yes you got a point of d4 hasn’t got too much item diversity yet but it might change in future. Regarding the mythics, yep they overbuffed the rate. 0-100 in about 12hours and then proceed to gear up few mythics next day is kinda nuts, that’s why the trading only last well for about 4-5 weeks after season starts.


And it’s already happening. Botting will ruin d4 very soon if they don’t deal with it like d2

Some people still trade in d4, but it is undeniable that trading is de-emphasized in d4 compared to d2 by a huge margin. The only thing trading in d4 really helps with is getting those 3-GA items super late game. It’s pretty unecessary otherwise.

game is young man. not many stuffs to trade for. buying a high roll unique with 0 GA is like buying a 3 10 10 torch in d2. so useless given how easy to farm these loot in d4. plus we're on jsp, not a lot of young gamers use jsp as main source to trade. even d2r sucks these days due to botting and 0 new contents. d2 is best if play single and farm your own holy grail instead of buying an enigma a week into ladder for couples hundreds fg.
