No. There is no good way to implement this system and maintain any semblance of balance unless you make the infinite paragon points do so little that they might as well not exist anwyay

d4 has just become a frankenstein project at this point, lol.
i agree that infinite paragon is not the answer, but i do admit i dislike how we get to 100 so quick and theres no more "xp" to farm.

i truly enjoyed d2 numbers for leveling, where your char could be "done" at level 90ish lets say, but theres still an xp grind be done if you want to get to 99. d4 is missing that.

theres 2 things i hated about skyrim: shit writing and level scaling
and then dragonborn expansion came out and now i hated one more thing: infinite leveling. idk why, i guess i like to have a goal, "infinite" anything makes any goal impossible and is basically just a lazy design to make people waste time

I do agree in part with this. I really enjoyed the leveling experience
this season and did quite a few 1-100’s as a result but it looks like it’ll be getting even easier in this upcoming season. I think it risks getting “too” D3 where you could hit max level cap in 1-2hrs. My guess is speed runners will likely be able to do 1-100 this next season in under 3hrs and more normal-ish folks may only take like 6-8hrs. Which is getting pretty absurdly fast at this point.

Compare that to release when most folks took 100+hrs to hit level cap, things have shifted dramatically.

The one thing that blizzard has done right when it comes to d4 is realized that the vast majority of their player base don’t have the time or the desire to spend hundreds of hours leveling
