cute. however, instant pickup of items degrade the looting experience. which is an essential and core tenet of the arpg experience.

the act of sifting through items on the ground and clicking on what to pickup makes the item have more worth than just magically appearing in your inventory. whether it's just materials or gold, it still has an impact

It only picks up gold and mats, not items. Although it does break immersion imo.

Oh, yeah.. because when I stumble down into Tristram where most of the townsfolk were murdered and kidnapped in the night, I often think to myself..

pets? Yupp time to bring in a my dog so he can get slaughtered instantly by the first sword, arrow, or zombie in the dungeon..
