So, if you have a 3 to golem mastery chest to start, and you masterwork it to 7, it up's the chest to golem mastery lvl 4 automatically @7.

If you hit golem mastery at 4, it does NOT upgrade it to 5 automatically at 7, this time.

What gives? And does this mean I have to hit golem mastery @ upgrade 8 to get the 5 total after two upgrades (so in the 3rd one, it would be possible to hit golem mastery 6).

Unless I'm missing something, the game basically forces you to MISS golem mastery upgrade the first time, gives it to you for free, to then have you try to get it @ 8 again. And if you miss, welp, start over and farm resources/gold like a maniac...

Pretty insane. Correct me if I'm wrong or teach me the ways! 👊

I'ma kinda driving so I skimmed what you have here, I had a +3 chest I rolled to a +4 on my first masterwork

Well, that's the thing. If you roll it onto your chest @ the first masterwork, cool (or so it would seem).

But if you DON'T hit it, the game will literally give you a free level from 6-7 (so #7). You will have lvl 4 golem @ lvl 7 masterworking, so at lvl 8 when you get a chance at ANOTHER upgrade, it could hit there again and give you 5.

Then, you'll still have 1 upgrade left for the last one on the piece and it could technically, hit 6.

If you do it any other way, I don't see how you ever achieve 6 unless you hit it all 3 times straight.

the odds of masterworking any skill +7 is 0.2%. Good luck with that
