Does blizzard usually do a balance/bug fix patch the first week after a season is released?

Wondering if blizz will fix/re-tune holy bolt elixirs soon

The next planned patch is 1.4.1 but it doesn't have a date. I'm guessing it will be the coming Tuesday but who knows. From the sounds of it, we won't see any hotfixes before then, as they implied a number of the current top priority issues from season start (missing resplendent sparks on eternal) won't be fixed until then.

AFAIK they do bugged damage based for big hits like the necro slam, trivializing some of the endgame encounters (pit / tormented bosses)

They trivialize a trivial game. Sounds fine.

yeah, seems like damage is bugged to key off of your minion's level or something, making minions do bonkers damage in high tier content.
