My real thoughts on each game

You want a 30min nostalgic experience Diablo 1
You want a longer 4 hr nostalgic experience Diablo 2, end game you get to mf same bosses and grind baal runs till 99
You want a more goofy whimsical Diablo with endless grind Diablo 3 has 1000s of paragons
You want a combo of Diablo 2 and 3 ? Play Diablo 4

Barely even a game

Diablo 2 / D2:R > Diablo 3 vanilla > Diablo 1

won't even put the mtx ridden crap that blizzard shit out in the same line as the above

D2 (and D1) intention was to make a good game, money comes after. D3/D4 we’re complete opposite money first gameplay later. But both times they realized they alrdy got the money so why put any effort into it, so they‘re both obviously trash and shouldn’t be an option.

It’s between classic d2 and lod, I did play D2 classic on release and playing campaign few times was fun but didn’t hook me that long, LOD is where the addiction began and 1000s of hours following

You must be ignorant to not mention D1 and D2 mods which been rooted part of community and did grow even own audience. Whats even more important both games gave basic tools for it or lets say enablers to describe it more accurate, meaning TCP/IP to even start with.

Simple Belzebub mod for D1 went hybrid mode with D2 and expanded whole experience way further, amateur devs added better shared stash to Belzebub mod than D4 devs ever can comprehend.

Theres even port for original D1 called DevilutionX, which let you play it on phone and other platforms (also made by amateur dev and even given to public for free, neoblizzard would suck blood from you including your pockets).

Your simplified and nub takes kinda hurt working brain, tell me how you managed to ignore real endgame of D2? Yep, pvp. No matter HLD, LLD or any other iterations like melee only, magic only and so on, which growed during years and had very dedicated community.

I dont care what you wrote about D3 and D4 as we all know first is just garbage can and latter is garbage can with additional storage.
