I’m currently working on optimizing my xfal corpse explosion necro and moved a bunch of nodes additive damage nodes in paragon to crit damage. After playing the build for a while I noticed that my boss kill speed was noticeablely slower (mob clears felt good although subjective and hard to say if better).

After some investigation I realize what’s happening was my xfal proc rate was noticeably lower and I believe this is because I had removed the wither paragon node.

So I went to test dummy and indeed with wither node I am proccing way more xfal. Granted I have multiple sources that could proc including ultimate shadow (bonestorm), blighted corpse explosion, decompose (yes decompose is legit).

Tl;dr - wither counts as its own dot source and thus improves certain interactions such as with procing xfals. I need community to validate. Anyone input?
