When Poe2 and diablo 4 expansion come out what makes you decide to spend 70-100$ on diablo 4 expansion over playing Poe 2?

well i sure hope the expansion also has early access so i can see how many people have that low intelligence/self control to eat that shit up

The thing is,
Diablo 4 is a huge title and a huge let down it’s lost about 90-99% player base it’s meta score reviews are awful [player rating real]
If diablo 4 ends up actually selling record numbers with the expansion it will really show they can push any game any expansion in triple A gaming people will buy it, it’s the same with games with loot boxes or micro transactions too many people purchase it for it to stop that it’s only going to be more and more… paying for early access is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard of or it’s up there… why not make it like first 10,000 preorders get 1-2 day early access putting a price tag on something to get more play time earlier get ahead, for 20% the cost of the whole game is insane but sadly it worked. I would expect to see more games follow suit they made millions of dollars to just push a release date 2 days back and the actual release date 20$ fee is crazy.
It would be like diablo 2 ladder reset starting 12 hours early for 20$ and some would actually pay it. Soon anything in a game will cost money and it’s not about being “lawnmowing peasant” it’s just a sad reality or what gaming has become.

also the biggest problem are the midwits who are saying "why do you even care? dont like it, dont buy it!"
because it doesnt matter if we buy it or not, if theres enough people who do fall for the predatory tactics, the money gained by it will be enough to make predatory tactics the most viable choice for gaming companies and incentivize all of them to do just that so rip all new games!

Funny part is they make annual expansions, idk but that seems pretty aggressive for a casual arpg and I can’t see them selling that many copies (even D3 expansion only sold 1/5th of original game cause d3 was dogshit)

Also don’t even need to wait and compare it with poe2, poe1 beats d4 with no issues and you only need to spend about 50 bucks for stash tabs and you most likely never need to spend anything more for years
D4 is just weird, and shit

Statistically, expansions from blizzard are like 10-20% of the original game in terms of content amount. In case of diablo 4 it will be close to 10% I think.

So basically only die hard modern blizzard fans and casuals will buy it.
