Any tips to farm duriel mats fast?
Tried to join clan but all full and no reponse.
Any tips for solo farming? Or do you guys simply purchase them?

it seems the best to me to wait until chinese come up with some new dupe and then buy a shitload while the price is down

Best way to farm varshan sets is to do the dungeons that have tree of whisper favors. 2 dungeons = 1 cache.
Always do world boss between runs, and try to get as many legion events as you can, because they can spawn the dudes that drop varshan mats.

For living steel it's only helltide. Make sure to use a tool like helltides.com so that you're prepared when it starts, and make sure you know where the chests are. Efficiency is key.
Also; the helltide always lasts one hour, but it will reset all chests at any whole hour of the clock. For instance: the helltide starts at 11:40 -> chests are reset at 12:00. This means the chests will switch location, and you will get a second chance opening them. In some regions there are 3 living steel chests, and 3 mysterious chests. This means that you can get up to 9 chests worth of living in a single helltide, if you're efficient! That's ~40 living steel => at least 8 shards!

Always do duriel runs in rotation groups, where you take turns providing materials for opening -> your one set becomes 4 runs.

So if you get 8 shards from 1 helltide run, and 8 eggs from varshan, you get 16 duriel runs!

You can get into groups here on d2jsp, or there are probably other sites and discord servers. I've also seen people just using the ingame Trade-channel.

I have found the best way for eggs is to do the whispers within the vamp areas. This will net you a full turn in to the tree during this (plus possible extra varshan mats from specific mobs in the vamp areas).

Helltide is just helltide. you can get bewteen 2-6 chests depending on the zone it spawns in and the time it spawns at (zones reset on the hour if I remember correctly, so a zone with 2 or 3 chests can be farmed twice if done fast enough).
In helltide - focus on events, especially those that have you defeat x waves in a certain timeframe, as they give out a fair amount of splinters.

Pvp area boss is a quick kill for 5 points as well.
You can also get body parts and the hearts from random spawns that occur after the legion, whisper dungeons, blood zone and world boss. Don't leave immediately on completion - wait a few seconds and look on the mini map for a white circle, it will be a red pool that you have to stand in and then an easy elite will spawn.
