as a HOTA barb, do we level to 3 or keep it at 1?

i know theres discussion about keeping it at 1 for certain builds.

Most want it kept at level 1. Then you can use tibaults+metamorphosis for 2s resource upkeep instead of 4s resource upkeep.

There has been some theoretical discussion that folks may need to drop tibaults for quad DR pants for abbatoir of zir in 2-weeks which would render the above argument meaningless in AoZ’s. But we literally know nothing about AoZ’s so for now just keep it at level 1.

well i have it on lvl 3 so it doesnt matter to me atleast currently ( have shako and pretty good gear overall) 100:s nm dg:s i just 1 shot everything but maybe its different story in zir so might be wise to keep at lvl 1 but like teeny wrote that if we actually need more toughness on zir:s, we will change pants to get more toughness

Gotta have any edge you can get in pvp too so 1 or bust

My barb also got lvl 3 meta ... Would I prefer lvl 1 or being able to respecc my points? Hellyeah ... Do I make a new barb now? Hell no

If you are just lvling a barb, just keep it at lvl 1 obviously. If that new patch will result in dropping tibaults you can still lvl up meta to lvl 3

Definitely level 1 if you're using Tibault's.

Tibault's is just OP with metamorphosis you would have to be really silly to drop it for some dr pants. 40%x damage multiplier and ton of resource generation for some additive DR affixes you can get anywhere else.
It is literally like 3 glyphs in terms of damage and you can take for example 1 defensive glyph with multiplicative DR bonus and almost the same amount of DR in 1 paragon board.

I realize the damage is huge. It’s possible though to survive the higher tier AoZ’s folks will have to go all-in on survivability and rely on getting the new super glyph up to the highest tiers possible to make up for the damage. But we don’t know what AoZ’s will look like yet other than the highest tiers are supposed to virtually impossible (I’m skeptical). But yeah outside of AoZ’s level 1 is undeniably better.
