My brother recently got his Shako. He's trying to decide between Shako and Visage. He says he's tried to google it and everything says Visage is still BIS, but I can't believe that. Thoughts? IMO - Shako is BIS for almost all builds.

I don't know anything about Necro. Is deathless recommended on the best Bone Spear guides? If so then it must be better for that build.

Yes shako is BiS for every build except a few that use tempest roar.

If you have a shako, use a shako.

those guides are assuming you dont ever find a shako. its the hardest item to find. What they will do is put it in side notes somewhere in the guide that will tell you to use shako if you ever find one lol

I've tested both and they're pretty close tbh. Visage explosions procs lucky hit for essence regen so it helps in boss fights.

Deathless Visage is better because the bs necro is a glass cannon.

So you are always trying to max out DMG especially after the crit/ vul nerf.

For BS Necro, people always seem to overlook the substantial damage boost that + max essence provides as well...
While Shako is very nice, and an upgrade for virtually everyone, it's not the case for ALL classes and builds.

For survival, Shako is definitely better, but in terms of DPS, the Visage wins.
