The current popularity is nowhere near as high as D2R.

Itemization and variety of areas to explore

D4 is just dommhaine to 100 and nm dungeons with the same layout
Items fairly meaningless as well, so there's zero dopamine from playing it (sure maybe ur first legendary at level 10, but that's really it)

Game would be infinitely better if:
1) conditional affixes are removed
2) +skills over cap provided an additional bonus aside from 10% damage or whatever it is currently (I. E. If fireball is level 6, you get an extra fireball or can cast faster, or whatever)
3) areas need to be level capped and tied to the dungeons/cellars in that area meaning that all acts are mlvl capped (a1=10, a2=20, a3=30, a4=40, a5=50, obv these would change based on difficulty tier, but same idea)
4) we need target farmable areas, not just duriel lol

No real endgame, not a complete game just betatesters everywhere that payed 70-100€, no trade, no unique drops that makes you "happy", no gamechanger items ultrahard to get, not enough content its just a Diablo 3 2.0 in my opinion.

Just a game for casuals and trolls that dont know nothing about videogames/ARPG

The itemization leaves a lot to be desired.

i think more people trying to farm shako right now in diablo 4 than d2R community daily logins. Just wait for expansion in Lord of Hatred, green set items , maybe even runewords in diablo 4.
They messed up by not having a 8 player party and able to trade all items would have made it so sick!!!!! Also so many other woulda coulda shoulda's. Season 2 is okay.

pvp system not the same cant just tell someone hey lets bow vs bow u got a bower. or like barba vs barb or like ya know druid vs nec they need lobbies with name game room.

steam has 5k players active now on d4 right now, thats basically solitaire or minesweeper playerbase

I bet there’s more bots on d2r right now then all of d4 players base 😂
