I got a cruel barb as a 20 rogue the other day and it gave me a bigger dopamine hit than any item in d4. There’s a real sense of giving a damn about my character. I think it stands out so much because d4 is “live service” like an MMO, but I think it would be way better as a single player with lobby capability for up to 8-16 players per lobby.

how active is it? and what about p2w, how prevelant is that? I've only played wow once, like 12 years ago on a 10 day trial or something, never got into it. need a new rpg//mmo

Hc classic WoW is very active, no trouble with finding grps, idk about higher lvls since a lot of people die early lol. Normal classic WoW the largest server has like 7-8k people.

You can kind of p2w in classic hc if you buy gold and then buy epic items, but even people with epic items fail at hc cause they’re bad. Kind of league people who get Elo jobbed in league but then fall back to their actual rank cause they’re bad.
