Hello

I know all of the talk was for season 2, there would be a critical strike damage cap of 50%, and vulnerable damage cap of 20%.

I see that when I stack crit strike damage (like in the previous season), it is still additive- is it still good?

Should I continue prioritizing crit strike damage and vuln damage on gear and paragon?

Please let me know! Little confused here

Thank you!

pretty sure multiplicative damage is capped at 50% for vulnerable and 150% for crit strike dmg, anything over it becomes additive dmg. so still dmg just not as good, so almost may aswell lean into other dmg buckets once you hit those 50% / 150% caps.

correct me if im wrong anyone.

anything over the cap goes into your base damage pool.

As example:
1,000 base damage, 200% crit damage(50% cap), 200% extra damage

Old math: 1,000 x 3 for extra damage. x 3 for crit damage = 9,000 damage.

New math: 1,000 x 4.5 for extra damage, x 1.5 for crit damage = 6,750 damage.

it still helps, just far less than it did before this patch.

Edit: For paragon points, if it still says X-Crit Damage instead of +-Crit damage, it still adds into the bigger pool you want, and you should aim to get it. Gear wise, it falls into the base damage pool.
