Right now I’m a Hardcore level 27 rogue, I’m walking the campaign with my girlfriend, however I need a character to play when she doesn’t feel like playing. I’ll probably wait for the new season since it’s literally tomorrow, but what char is an ideal solo starter? I’ll be playing HC mode, so far I have tried the necromancer and the rogue, rogue is fun but she seems to lack AoE, at least my twisting blades build does..I tried bone spear necro and I personally didn’t enjoy it. I’d like to beat the game and give the end game a shot before I fully form an opinion on this game. What are you guys rolling s2? Link your builds and strats for a d4 noob 🥹

there is no endgame unless you count reaching t4 endgame i guess? its still the same game though

im playing firewall sorc, 1-25 takes like an hour in dommhaine tunnels in current patch

that's my test last night, was playing with skills for ~5 minutes, so 1-25 is definitely doable in 1 hour

That’s crazy, I think I’ve got a few hours on my rogue at this point. We were doing a ton of side quests and we just finished a1 lol. Maybe dungeons are the way instead

I guess I still need to beat the campaign first anyways..

Yeah, I do the same as Penguins. Load up a level 1 character and go straight to Dommhaine Tunnels (spelling no idea).

If you want a good self starter that has good survivability for hardcore, I recommend Blood Surge necro. Idk if the recent patch completely changed how this build works (sitting this season out for other games) but it slapped in season 1.

Reasons:
- necro blood surge can play with minions too for the 1-50 grind and feel like you have an army with you
- blood surge aoe grants fortify and I believe some healing
- access to blood mist and cooldown reduction gives you a low cooldown immunity
- blood surges initial overpower hits your whole screen m
- this becomes blood Lance, adding range once you get certain aspects

Yea u need to beat the campaign. Shadow imbue gives rogue good aoe. Druid has big aoe. Necro has big dmg too

that's the skill build im going with on firewall sorc fyi (will spec the points in fire shield/teleport that i did at the end in above link when survivability goes down and i start needing it). i just put it at the end cause idk the appropriate place to put it (depends on if i get +ranks to firewall on gear, how high i can get my armor values just from farming domhainne, or if resists actually matter as rings/amulets i've found are not that common on dommhaine tunnels but i'll probably shop them if i cant find any)
