Probably tells you how bad the situation is. Game just came out, blizzard put overwatch 2 on steam because it was doing poorly.

Might get people to buy it, but the problem isn't getting people to buy it, its to get them to stay and buy the next expac.

Honestly they‘ll do alright from money point of view with annual expansions even if just 1/10th of copies sell or even less
Game will still be shit but that doesn’t matter to blizzard it‘s just about money and they’ll try to generate hype with mass ads and celebrities as usual

Back in the D3 days the ceo said they want to sell games like toilet paper, it‘s not about quality or player retention, was never the intention

Company that has jealously guarded its IP and launcher services for decades brings game that made a huge # of sales and associated profit launching only months ago to rival market (after supposedly losing 90% of this game's playerbase), having only previously added another weak performer to said rival.

What I am wondering is just how fast and how quickly pink slips are issued, without an overhaul I don't forsee a positive impact on the Diablo IP.

I don't believe there's any creative genius ability from the current and the state of D4 is unfix-able, that being said, I want to see the impact if Microsoft will take action, it is the first step.
