So I was looking into the build, and while I'm only lvl 60, so far I find it kind of dumb that there's no mana generating attack, as it looks like chain is your main ability, and when you run out of mana, are not very effective as I don't see a way to generate mana.

Is it supposed to come from Paragon board and aspects? Or am I missing something?

If you didn’t find out about it already recharging aspect fixes all ur mana issues

I tried out chain lightning for a bit. I followed the icyveins recommended end game build. With all the aspects, my mana gen wasn't an issue. My DPS dropped significantly from my ice shard build tho. I spent a small fortune of igg switching to chain lightning just to switch right back to ice shards. Lol. Unless you specifically want to do lightning, I recommend ice shards. Get roughly 25-30% mana cost reduction with 25-30 cool down reduction, and you'll stay at full mana and just run through nightmare dungeons. Good luck with your lightning build. I hope you have better luck with it than I did.

I think you’re oversimplifying things. I do concede that ice shards is probably all around better, but the disparity in performance isn’t as great as you make it out to be. And chain lightning is arguably better for single targets/bosses than ice shards.

There's a video on maxrolls page showing a chain lightning sorc doing t100s, I think every character if made right and has the right bis gear can be good, my buddy has a minion necro who can clear t100s also, which I thought wouldn't be possible.

I was just giving my experience with the build. My gear didn't have optimal rolls, my glyphs weren't leveled up. I just didn't like it. My bad bro.

They should just have a recipe for one of those reset scrolls available at your local occultist once you hit lvl 80. Price should be like a million or something reasonable
