There are many flaws with the game, but probably not another ARPG that makes sense to play so D4 will be around for many years to come. POE2 probably doesn't have the combat mechanics / game engine to compete, but hopefully I'm wrong there. Most ARPG players will be playing D4 for the next 5-10 years. On this site though, you get the sub section of d2 players who played the game for the economy above gameplay. This site is very skewed towards games with an economy, for these players, POE2 might be the more popular game. In the 90s, economy games were possible, now its hard to play them knowing I can spend a measly $100 to get everything I'd ever want in the game, so there's no point in grinding for stuff when you can buy it with your credit card.
You need to check out the new gameplay trailers for Poe 2. They improved combat and dodge mechanics significantly
