So, I have been playing an ice shard sorc and it is so much fun.

My current skill bar:
Flame Shield, Frozen Armor, Teleport, Deep Freeze (Ice Shard/Nova)

The way I have been playing is teleporting on mobs, nova, and when I cast shards, everything explodes.

However, my enchants are Ice Shard, and Fire Bolt for the burning effect.

Is it better to run a different enchant than Fire Bolt? I currently run Revenge heart on my ring, so it gives fire damage anyways.

I’m pretty new to sorcs, so any recommendations, advice, or suggestions would be awesome.

in d4 fire damage and burning damage are not the same.
but i think using the firebolt enchantment is to get the Devouring Blaze passive to work in a cold build, which is a nice boost.

other then any affixes on your gear specifically for enemies that are burning, like maybe damage reduction, i believe that is the main reason you run the firebolt enchantment.
plus the fact that youre required to put your first 2 skill points somewhere to get to the core skills, knowing you wont put a basic skill on your skill bar.

I appreciate the advice. I think for now I will continue to run firebolt as a enchant. See where that takes me for a bit
