Anyone who has already played sorc have any tips following the update? I wanna know what more experience players with sorc are thinking as I’m gonna make one

I am 92lvl with blizzard/ice shard and currrently doing 4man split farming 50+tiers nm.
I abandoned blaze for hoarder.
On the deffence side its quite ok especially with freezes. In next few days we will get even more %dr from boards.
Don`t expect damage like before for sure.
Mapping damage is very good with barber. Doing like few mil damage in packs.
Bosses are much slower for me than before :<

When the update comes out are you planning on changing up from the cold sorc? I don’t understand the sorc enough to know if the buffs will really be a changer

maybe fireball, hydra or meteor will be better than blizz/ice shards (or blizz/frozen orb)
probably chain lightning or ball lightning will be good too, wait till tuesday

ye, most people play cold version so they are buffing mainly fire/lightning active skills, paragon board nodes and aspects.
I dont bother glyphs changes, nice to see extra 8% DR from nodes.

For sure fire/lightning build will be more competitive now.

I am going to stay with my current build, maybe cahnge my mind after more buffs ;p

Now now just consider taking Snowveiled Aspect into the build, cuz of pvp.

Ice armour will provide:
Unstoppable duration increased from 2-3 seconds to 3-5 seconds.
Additional functionality:
Also grants 10% bonus Armor for 3-5 seconds.

Frosties are underrated. Procs freeze from afar. With 50% chance to spread on lucky hit and a fuck ton of lucky hit - your auto shards fly and your mana never goes below 100. I spec for frw +tele so I don’t have time to wait for the cooldown. 100% crit chance, high lucky hit, and cdr. Never use a basic skill. And I don’t even use barber - doesn’t feel good even if it is better.

Paragon can go 5 boards, 4 activated sigils with the right layout.

+non-phys damage is something you want to push for. Grab all the bulb you can.

You will always be squishy - but sorc is actually gg doing rushes vs equal lvl high density areas.

question: why replace blaze for hoarder? i feel like since crit dmg got nerfed we would need crit even more now to add to the crit bucket

more tanky so why not ? sorc made first tier 100 nd before the patch, any class can do anything right now, but not every build, play w/e u like

If you got lime 100% crit chance and immobilite a lot go for it.

I got only like 40%+ crit chance and dont use aspect giving +60% (need aspect on amu for spikes, and it wont affect ice spikes damage) Its not efficient for me.
But if you chill and freeze everything around you, Hoardfrost is just pure dps increase, and when you freeze it adds chill+freeze mods so its like 9% more damage per 1 point
