Exactly. People act as if a “good itemization” or “endgame mechanics” or “class differentiation” could be designed on their own, as a separate entities. They can’t. It all needs to result from the structure of game mechanics underneath. D4 has no mechanics. You click and skill goes boom. Hard to build anything interesting on top of that.

Yes. A box providing generic content, knowing it will sell due to it’s name is probably a wet dream of every project owner in the corporate world. They don’t even try to build a real game anymore.
