Don't remember much about baldurs gate 2, but remember enjoying it a lot.

Anyone here waiting for BG3 and think it'll be a better choice than Diablo 4? Anyone with experiences playing early access?

Basically on the fence if I wanna purchase D4 on PC (already have on psn but don't use it anymore) or buy BG3 and give up on D4 for awhile.

Baldurs gate will b literal light years better than d4

Go play divinity original sin 2 if you want a very good idea of the game mechanically.

turn base with heavy focus on environmental interactions. as well as countless variations for story endings and replayability. not much like d4 outside of camera angle and basic rpg game concepts.

the lore / rpg themes in it are top tier because they have access to Dungeons & Dragons IP/assets.

I'm waiting for star field, not interested playing turn base game in the year of 2023. even final fantasy ditch that bullshit, these game company need to get with time.

I've heard great things about DOS2 and I know they're the same developers. I have no issues with turn based strategical combat (albeit slower pace). i do enjoy more fast paced real time combat personally but literally everything about bg3 just sounds soooooo much better on paper besides the combat haha. the devs seem to actually give a shit about their product unlike blizzard. I enjoyed d4 a lot but the endgame gets stale and repetitive quickly with no real feeling of accomplishment

the only things i know about bg3 is that 1) you can fuck a bear, and also 2) you cant customize your face but can customize your dick. probably to make the said bear happy as bears are known not to care about facial features, while also being rather large animals

now im not really a moral beacon or anything, but at least im not a fucking furry and that seems to be the target audience my guess is, when the game fully comes out, it will be woke as fuck

basically you cant customize face at all, but can customize...some other body parts

Bandit’s Gate 3 is shaping up to be a genre defining game, d4 was a semi-fun game
