Longer is better. You get more damage for bosses and if you deal lethal damage, monsters explode anyway.

Allegedly damage types can double dip (mainly vulnerable). So if you deal vulnerable damage, they take the magnified damage, then if the monster upon the barber explosion is still vulnerable you get that increase damage again on the explosion. So if you’re running something like exploit glyph you want <3s so you double dip on vulnerable.

I can’t claim to have tested this. Just what folks are saying and the mechanics behind this make sense.

I have currently equipped a mid, but in stash I have both the 2sec and the 4 sec.

so when I get an amulet worth upgrading over my current, I will put in the 2sec

This is correct.

At the end game where you don't just hit couple times to kill everything, longer is better since you are likely in fight for more than 4 seconds anyway. Things should be vulnerable for longer than that. So longer for higher amplified dmg is better

Mine is like 3.2 second with 14x dmg multiplier

Edgemaster perfect roll is 20x

So 1 second more on barber is actually a big damage difference
