having a hard time telling which one does more damage when swapping between the two any opinions on which any why you would use one over the other?

Left one. Vulnerable damage will make it stronger pick, as its behaving as dmg multiplier.

Left is a 4/4. Right is a 2/4 and only has slightly higher IP
