So he logged back in today. Had to re verify his blizzard to log in. All of his D4 characters are completely gone including seasonal and non seasonal.

Has to start from scratch. Anyone hear or some shit like this happening?

I've logged.on to a blank screen to just relog and it all reappears

I don't live with him i'm 30 years old lol. I bought him the game before season started so he could play with me.

Idk. He's got all of his renown still. Mounts. Skins Etc, but every character is just gone.

He put a ticket with blizzard just curious if anyone else has experienced this.

maybe the chars just moved to nonladder and he doesnt know season started

Both ladder and non ladder are stored in the same spot. You can view both when you log in or at least I can. He has no characters at all lol

Did he have an Authenticator?

My friend had his WoW account hacked and all his toons deleted. They figured everything was liquidated into gold and traded off or mailed off. Blizzard did restore his characters with a rollback to his last log out.

I heard they deleting accounts so that they'll have enough memory for the extra stash tab

He does have one. Never got an email which is why he's so confused about the whole thing.
