Hi,
I'm thinking of trying to put a build together using the new Aspect of Pestilent Points;
"every 3rd cast of Puncture is Poison imbued with 300% of normal potency" (that's when applied to 2h bow, base is 150% damage).
But I have a few questions about mechanics that I have no idea about.
1)
Do repeated applications of Poison imbuement simply refresh the duration of the DoT or stack?
2)
Does "+Basic skill damage" affect Poison damage over time from poison imbuement applied using a basic attack? Or, similarly, does "+core skill damage" affect poison imbuement damage?
3)
Any comments on my build idea? The spec is roughly here;
https://d4builds.gg/builds/b6193c26-66b8-4e5a-927e-7916be931067/It ignores crit + crit damage as it's been nerfed and I dont think it affects Poison DoT (or does it?)
It's focused not using a core skill, just spamming ultra-fast basic skill to stack poison damage, with CC too (planning to use the maliginant gem: "Creeping Death (Wrathful, Super): Your damage over time effects are increased by 30-40% for each different Crowd Control effect on the target. Unstoppable monsters and Staggered bosses instead take 110-130% increased damage from your damage over time effects.".
With all the stat allocation you save missing out on Crit + crit damage you stack Basic attack speed, poison damage, imbued skill damage, damage over time, damage to CC'd enemies etc.
I would also use Primary Puncture "every third puncture jumps to two enemies" which should work well with the aspect.
Halp!
