The problem wasn't damage alone though. And by the way, those flat % buffs do NOT equate out to what vuln/crit did. (25% vs. 150% for example? huge swings)
The problem is lack of survivability and insane resource dependency on sorc.
Problems
-Sorcs are required to use 4 defensive cooldowns to survive
-Basic abilities dont generate resource
-Sorc CORE ability/MASTERY ability cost insane amounts of resource
-Once resource is expended (4, 5 core casts? less for Mastery), sorc must evade or use DEF cooldown (Squishy)
All stat investment is oriented around cooldown + resource regen/mana reduction.
In the problem statement above, resources will CONTINUE to be expended at the same rate -- but then the sorc has less viable options to escape.
- Damage is worse
- Resource demand is the same
- Survival/Defense is worse
Sorcs can't take when they're out of resource, they have to flee. They get fucking crushed by one poison tick, and can be 2 shotted by trash mobs in Helltide (lvl 80+).
