Can you imagine the outcry if for example abraham lincoln was portrayed by a chinese black or middle eastern actor? And the director of said documentary tried to say its a fact that lincoln was for example chinese?

History is clearly quite a fluid concept that is entirely open to interpretation. Would it bother me, personally, for Abraham Lincoln or literally anyone or anything else to be misrepresented based on skin tone or country of origin? Not at all.

I don't believe there's much that maintains it's historical accuracy these days, so I view essentially everything as 'entertainment'. After that, I find most changes aren't even remotely concerning.

No its really not history is about facts and documentary is meant to document reality.

If you call it a documentary it should be accurate.

If she made a fictional series about cleopatra being black no one would care but she called it a documentary hence why it was an issue.
